Give A Simple Joy To Others
"Give a simple joy to others" was the mantra of the Volksbank online PR initiative, meant to support the Volksbank "simple joys" brand message and bring it to life in the real world.
Three highly rated celebrity-bloggers were selected to spread the message throughout their communities, encouraging people to think of their simple joys in life and offering as a reward a 1.000 EUR budget to fulfill a one selected joy each.
Simple Joys Themes
Each of the three bloggers (Dana Rogoz, Simona Tache and Vlad Petreanu) had a selected theme for their awarded joy, inline with blogger's personality, affinities and interests.
In the first stage of the campaign people were invited to write a very short essay on their desired simple joy and why was it important to them.
Campaign Blog Widget
In order to ease the registration & voting process and as well to increase the reach of the campaign throughout bloggers' communities, a special online widget was designed and implemented inside the three blogs, where people could register and vote directly.
Winners were selected based on a clear and well-thought system, combining bloggers judging under specific criteria with the public voting of the joys, reducing the chance for fraud but also the subjective risks of judging.
The winners would receive the budget to fulfill their joys, but they were bound to document the process within one year from the end of the campaign, sharing their joy with the public.
A content section was designed inside the campaign website, posting updates on the initiative, explaining rules, answering questions.
At the end of the campaign the section documented the fulfillment of the winning joys, with visual data received from the winners and first hand impressions and feelings.
