The Discovery School Program
How can you make a school kid love math? Or, at least, truly understand its meaning? What about physics, chemistry, biology and other science classes?
Discovery Networks did that, bringing teachers, parents and students on a common digital ground, where audio-video and new media resources are a natural part of the educational process: Discovery School.

Science can become a wonder if you watch it on TV, classes are less boring, homework quite fun, when you enter in the digital era of education. Because each Discovery show in the TV series was correlated offline with the school classes and online with additional study and teaching resources.

And what do the teachers in the program had to say?
Within two months since the start of the project a quantitative study (on more than 1300 teachers) revealed that 90% of the teachers have used the materials in class and 82% of them consider that the initiative had a significant positive effect in growing the interest for science classes.
